Summary

x264, LLC (“x264”, “we” or “us”) typically collects the same information that other websites and companies collect.  We do not sell your information to third parties.  If you disclose information under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, that information is protected by contract under the Non-Disclosure Agreement.

x264, LLC (“x264”, “we” or “us”) collects certain information about you when you use our website, contact us or otherwise use our products and services (collectively, the “Services”).  You should review our Privacy Policy and other relevant information to understand how and why we collect and use information about you when you use our Services.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of our Services.

What do we collect?

We may collect information from you when you use the Services, such as:

Usage Data – We may log information when you access and use the Services. Licensee Information – If you contact us to obtain, or determine if you should obtain, a commercial licensee to use the x264 video encoder software, we will collect certain information from you, including your name, company name, company address, email address, company website, product information, payment information and product distribution.  We may also search for additional information about you, the company and its products, including such information found on the company website, public information resources or other such sources of information.

Third Party Information – We may display some linked or embedded content on our website, such as links to some of our licensees.  The content and links are provided solely for informational examples and we do not control or endorse the licensees or their products.  As a result, the links and any embedded content are not covered by this privacy policy but by the policies of the service from which the content is embedded.

Why we collect information

We use information the information we collect to:

  • Communicate with you about our products and license terms;
  • Optimize our engagement and information we provide.

How We Protect Your Information
